Gun Fighter American Rye Whiskey Double Cask Port Finish is a particularly delicious rye whiskey from Golden Moon Distillery, aged first in new American oak casks, then in port casks.

Nose: Rye, fruit and sweetness.
Taste: Classic rye aromas like pepper and vanilla, along with a touch of cedar and rye bread.
Finish: The rye carries the flavor for a long time – fades out quietly with notes from the oak.

About the Product
Gun Fighter American Rye Whiskey Double Cask Port Finish is aged for a minimum of 6 months in new American oak casks, with subsequent finishing in French oak casks that have previously contained California port-like wine. This gives the whiskey a unique roundness and complexity perfectly complimented by a classic rye spiciness.

It is bottled at an ABV of 50% – equivalent to 100 US proof.

About Golden Moon Distillery
Golden Moon Distillery was founded in 2008 with the specific goal of making alcoholic beverages of the highest quality, using the same ingredients as those used in the late 19th century.

Central to this project is that one of the distillery’s founders, Stephen Gould, possesses a massive collection of books, all of which deal with brewing and distilling. The oldest of these books date all the way back from the 16th century, while the majority are from the 18th-19th century.

Gun Fighter whiskey is distilled on Golden Moon’s own kettles – four antique pot stills from the early to mid-1900s.
