This bottle of Highland Park 12 yo (2006/2019), Single Cask Danefæ pays homage to proud Danish craftsmanship. The word “Danefæ” dates back to ancient law, describing that any precious metal objects unearthed within the borders of Denmark, are to be considered property of the king. This same law persists to this day, enforced by the National Museum of Denmark. This particular golden treasure, however, is available to you. Highland Park has raised the bar at a mighty 64.8%, making this the strongest 12-year release from 2020 to reach the market. It has been gently rounded and carefully balanced at the hands of the Scottish masters despite its high ABV. Interested treasure hunters can look forward to a persisting experiance of warm spices, with fruity and herbal additions. There is much to be said (and written) about the treasures of old. Simply put, this is exquisite Scotch whisky commemorating the Viking Age.
