Macallan The Harmony Collection – Rich Cacao is a Macallan debutant in the category of groundbreaking, contemporary whisky. For the first time in history, Macallan pairs whisky with the western European tradition of gourmet chocolate. This bottling was the result of a collaboration with world renown Jordi Roca, pastry chef of the three-star Michelin resturant El Celler de Can Roca in Spain. If the label strikes you as different, this is because it was made from 100% biodegradable materials, such as the discarded shells of cocoa pods. No compromises were made with its 44% ABV and this is a dram that could be re-united and enjoyed – rightfully – with a piece of rich, dark chocolate. Available only as an increasingly limited edition, this is a yet another genre-defying milestone from Macallan.
