The first impression reveal a spicy scent, leather and furniture polish. Underlying are notes of lemon peel, ripe bananas and vanilla as well as cane sugar
The taste is nicely balanced between the spicy and the sweet. There are dark hot spices, sweet pipe tobacco, pepper, citrus, vanilla and coconut.
This rum is distilled at Angostura which owns Trinidad Distillers Limited. The storage started tropically on ex Burbon casks, after which the rum was transported to Italy to get a finish on ex Oloroso casks in continental climate.
