Venezuela 16 yo 2006/2022 S.B.S Bourbon & Port Matured

Venezuela 16 yo 2006/2022 S.B.S Bourbon & Port Matured is Venezuelan rum that traveled all the way to Denmark to be bottled. The rum was matured on ex-bourbon casks before receiving its finish on ex-port casks. Having started with the craft of whisky in 2008, S.B.S. branched out into the field of rum-making. They keeps a close eye on the process of maturation, at times going so far as renewing the casks until the desired end product is reached. When finished, the rum is bottled and colored labels added. Baby blue means that it’s from Cuba, turquoise means Barbados. Light green means Jamaica and light pink means that it comes from Denmark. This dark mahogany bottle was from Venezuela and was released in only 304 bottles. It has a taste of caramel, coffee and smooth vanilla. The aftertaste leaves the spicy kick lingering in the palate.
