Glenrothes 14 yo (2006/2021) Single Cask – Nordic Edition (#5463)

Glenrothes is a Scottish distillery based in the Speyside town of Rothes. The distillery was founded in 1879 by James Stuart and has since created a series of high quality Single Malt Whiskies. Glenrothes 14 yo (2006/2021) Single Cask – Nordic Edition is one of these high quality whiskies. This release – distilled in 2006 and matured in sherry-casks – was bottled in 2021, becoming a their Nordic Edition release. The whisky has a therefore adopted a full-bodied impression of sherry, adding to the depth and complexity. With its 66.3% ABV, it is considered cask strength; delectable and warm whisky that contains the undiluted strength from an individual cask. An excellent bottling!

Nose: Caramel, liquorice and dark chocolate
Taste: Dark spices, sweet pipe tobacco and leather
Finish: Intense and full-bodied ending

Today, the Scottish Speyside distillery is famous for their fantastic Single Malt Whiskies. They also deliver whisky for some of the most popular Scotch Whisky Blends.
