Production Method

• Raw materials: 100% Scottish barley and the distillery’s unique aromatic peat from Hobbister Moor, which contains heather and other native Orkney plants
• Distillation process: Traditional floor malting with aromatic peat smoke, followed by distillation in Highland Park’s distinctive copper pot stills with upward-tilting lyne arms
• Maturation: Minimum 30 years in hand-selected European and American oak casks previously seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry from Jerez, Spain
• Special techniques: Highland Park’s signature “slow burn” peat and traditional floor malting process, giving the whisky its distinctive heathery character not found in mainland Scotch whiskies
