Production Method

  • Raw materials: Scottish barley with light peat influence, sourced for the seasonal Cù Bòcan production runs at Tomatin distillery
  • Distillation process: Distilled in Tomatin’s traditional copper pot stills during their dedicated peated spirit production periods
  • Maturation: Initially matured in traditional oak before being finished in extremely rare Colombian Andean oak casks (Quercus humboldtii), sourced from sustainable forests in the Colombian Andes
  • Special techniques: Non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV with natural color to preserve the unique character imparted by the Colombian oak
