Production Method

• Raw materials: Exclusively floor-malted barley from The Macallan Estate in Speyside, Scotland, grown to the exacting quality standards that have defined the distillery for generations.
• Distillation process: Distilled in The Macallan’s characteristically small pot stills, which produce a heavy, complex and richly textured new make spirit with extensive copper contact and maximum concentration of aromas.
• Maturation: Matured for a full 20 years in high-quality European oak casks seasoned with exclusive sherry from Valdespino in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain – a process that imparts extraordinary depth and complexity to the whisky.
