Production Method

• Production process: Vinification follows traditional methods, where fermentation is interrupted by the addition of grape spirit (aguardente), preserving the natural sweetness of the grapes and raising the alcohol content to the characteristic 19.5%.
• Maturation: As a Late Bottled Vintage, the wine is aged in oak casks for four to six years after the vintage before being bottled. This gives the port wine extra depth and integration of fruit and tannins compared to a young Ruby Port.
